15th century market in the town of Freiburg, Germany. Various merchants and craftsmen sell all sorts of stuff from fish to expensive glassware. None of the buildings remain today, but the fountain still exists (though at a different location). I was able to scan its central pillar and reconstruct the whole fountain in its original setting.
A lot of attention was paid to historical realism, from the species of fish to fashion and objects, though undoubtedly we could have done much more. The original image is 12000 pixels wide and required a high level of detail.
